COP29 Youth Delegate Program
AYFICE is proud to host another COP Youth Delegate Program, this year for to provide sponsorship and mentorship for up to two young Australians to attend the UNFCCC COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan from 11 to 22 November, 2024.
- Be an Australian citizen between the ages of 18 and 30
- Be passionate about addressing issues related to climate change (experience working or volunteering in the climate space is desirable but not essential)
- Have a passport with at least 6 months validity
- Commit to attending COP29 for at least one and ideally both weeks
- Commit to attending four briefing and up-skilling workshops (online) in the lead up to COP29 (dates TBA)
- Commit to creating and delivering a small project related to their experience at COP29
- Commit to representing Australia and AYFICE by modelling a professional standard of behaviour at COP

Delegates will participate in COP both as individuals and as members of the AYFICE delegation. They will be expected to engage in some meetings and activities as a team with AYFICE, but will also be given substantial freedom to organise their time at COP as they please.
